What comprehensive cover includes
On top of everything in partial cover, comprehensive cover pays for damage to your own car from:
- A traffic accident
- A collision with an animal
- Deliberate vandalism by a third party
- Another sudden and external accidental event
- Transport damage, for example when the car is carried on another vehicle
What is not included
- Damage caused by wear or poor maintenance
- Damage caused by design or manufacturing faults
- Damage caused by corrosion or damp
- Damage already covered by another part of the policy, such as fire or theft
- Damage to the engine, silencer, tyres or hoses caused by an explosion in the engine, silencer, tyres or hoses
- Damage to the tank and pipework
- Loads in and on the vehicle must be stowed and packed with care to avoid damage as far as possible, and the vehicle's maximum towing weight must not be exceeded
- The vehicle must not be driven on ice-covered water, unless on a winter road maintained by the Swedish Transport Administration

Comprehensive cover FAQ
Own-damage cover protects your own car in, for example, a traffic accident, a collision with wildlife or vandalism. It is part of comprehensive cover but not of partial or third-party cover.
Within the EEA and in other countries in the Green Card system, including while the car is transported between those countries.
