The customer enters the car's registration number together with their personal identity number, and Merinfo returns the vehicle information Ominimo needs to calculate an up-to-date estimated price for that specific car within seconds.

Because most drivers do not buy their insurance on the same day they start looking for a car, and insurance is usually their second-largest expense after the car itself, Ominimo is also introducing a 30-day price guarantee. Customers who get a quote they are happy with can lock the price for up to 30 days, whenever they finally decide to buy the car.

The partnership is part of Ominimo's wider work to make buying car insurance in Sweden faster and simpler.
